Founder Birthday Event

On Saturday April 9th, 2011 many of the employees here at Krist Oil Company came together to organize a community event the town will always remember. The staff a Krist Oil Company felt it appropriate to host a calibration for the co-founder and President, Stanly Atanasoff's Birthday. With over 70 years in the convenience store industry and employing countless community members over the 7 decades, it was felt necessary to incorporate owner and customer in a commemorative event.

The event was held at the Iron River, MI CITGO Quik Food Mart from 9:00am to 3:00pm. The event was a blow out, which offered numerous door prizes, free samples, free brats and hotdogs, birthday cake, and best of all free gas coupons. The event was held in a customer appreciation setting with a focal point being the birthday celebration.

The event was very laid back and had minimal terms. It was basically something to do on a beautiful Upper Peninsula Spring weekend. Yet, the turnout was outstanding, drawing customers in from nearby cities and towns in every direction. Whether it was to wish Stanly a happy birthday and/or to take advantage of some free gasoline and good food, the most important aspect of all, everyone had fun.
